Upgrading over Quaife worth it?

So I am not a big fan of my Quaife LSD on my TT and was thinking about changing to another setup.

Was wondering if it would be worth it?
Has anyone gone from a Quaife to anything else like OS Giken or what about the Nismo GT Pro?

Please share your thoughts.
And yes, waiting for the bashing too :)

Thanks guys.

what about the quaife isn't working for you?

Interested as well. Quaife is known for being very street friendly.

Not sure, getting it checked out next week. Either it's not working properly or it's no good. Always feels like an open-diff to me, tbh it feels worse than when I had the VLSD even though it is suppose to be a step up.

Anyways, will see what's up next week after I have it checked out, if there is no sign of issue with the diff, then I will change it out.

I wasn't a big fan of my Quaife either. When it would break the tires loose, I would get fish tailing. It just felt unpredictable. I've got an OS Giken now and love it. It always tracks straight when the tires break loose and feels predictable. I don't know if tires had anything to do with the unpredictability of the Quaife also. I ran Nitto NT05's with the Quaife and Proxes R888R's with the OS Giken.

I always recommend Wavetrac over Quaife because it is friendly for street and track. Ot has less maintenance requirements than OSG.

That said I have an OSG too. Haven't had a chance to run it yet.

Interesting, this was the kind of amswer I was looking for. Someone who also had the Quaife in the past, and I agree with you, totally unpredictable and annoying. I have 305/30R19 RE71R on the rears.

Are you able to tell me when did you buy the OSG, and what is the part number for it?

There seems to be a heap of different versions/part numbers for the OSG diff for 370Z.

If I order one, there is a 3-4 month wait from local OSG Dealers here in Australia. But RHD Japan website:

https://www.rhdjapan.com/os-giken-su...3-z34-v35.html

says they have one in stock, but from their product page it looks totally different and has a different part no. than the current on the OSG official page:

It's been in the car for probably a year and a half. I'm not sure what the model number is. The shop that built my car purchased it and installed it for me but I believe it was this one.

Ok kool. Do you know if your OSG had the custom tune package added aswell from OSG, or just got the LSD normal tune.

Just the normal out of the box tune

Thanks mate. Definitely keen on the OSG, but FML, 4 month wait.

As Hotrodz mentioned, the Wavertrac is a great diff too. A lot of guys prefer the Wavetrac over the OS Giken. Not sure what your wait time would be on that

Out of the box. The OSG is a 1.5 way and starts out about 70% lock up. you have to use the OSG gear lube too. Otherwise it's noisy.

I may be able to get a Wavetrac also, but is Wavetrac only for Manual? I can't seem to find any that specify it can work with Automatic?

If you have an auto, OSG is the only one that is offered other than Quaffie. Make sure you get the LSD for the 3.3 diff. It is different than the 3.69 diff.
