Pressure Plate issue?
So on my original transmission my slave cylinder went out and my car got stuck in 5th gear. I was coming up to a stop sign and I ripped out of gear and the shifter was in neutral. Weird parr though is that my trans was still engaged in 5th gear... So I ended up buying a used transmission off eBay and installed it myself. At the same time I installed the z1 6 puck clutch lightweight flywheel and upgraded csc with the upgraded pressure plate and its been working great. I broke it in properly with 0 issues all around. Throughout the different trans Ive noticed occasionally its hard to get it into reverse and 1st gear. So I just pump the clutch once or twice and go into 2nd and then it slips into those gears no problem when that happens. Some days its more than others when I have to do that. If I'm in 6th and driving normally giving it gas and stuff and try to down shift into 5th its difficult every time. Also if I'm in 1st gear with the clutch all the way in and give it a huge rev I feel my car sorta pull forward which is odd. Im wondering if my clutch is rubbing on my flywheel and possibly my pressure plate is too tight? Im not exactly sure but I remember torquing it down with the quarter turn or something after.
Does anyone know what my problem might be and if I'm thinking correctly? This is my 1st trans swap on my own and my 1st clutch flywheel and csc install as well. Just to reiterate, my car pretty much drives fine other than the occasional tough time getting into 1st or reverse and every time I rev it up high when I'm stopped I feel it pull forward when the clutch in fallen in. Thank you I hope its just some tight bolts or something. What are the correct torque specs for 370z nismo pressure plate? |

The top plate on the shifter may need to be moved around a little.

I had a similar issue with Z1 road race clutch kit ...it started around 3k miles and finally around 8k miles I could barely get in gear. I assumed there was a dragging issue from some warpage but i don’t know ...I switched over to Zspeed clutch kit and haven’t had any issues
