Default OFFICIAL OIL THREAD (Trying to clean up all these useless oil threads)

So over my time on the 370z forum, ive seen so many pointless threads on oil. "what should I use?", "What is Ester?", "Does an OilCooler help?" etc. These people are pretty much forum noobs that dont know where to look, just to lazy to look, or just want to get known for being dumb on the forum.

Im going to try to clean this all up to the best of my ability (if any one see's somthing wrong, please Let me Know )
Do Our Motors REQUIRE ester oils? NO! only recomened.

What is Ester?
-Ester oil is synthetic base oil that has been chemically synthesized. Typically ester oils are used in passenger cars . Esters are one of the classes of synthetics . Esters are stable molecules, provide good solvency, and provide very good low temperature and high temperature performance in engine oils.

Will an oil cooler help?
Unless you take your car to the track, save your money, i promise your car wont blow up unless your a serious fast and furious enthusiast.

Base Nissan Ester oil- its made for our car so its ok for our car, it wont destroy your motor like people say just because its conventional oil, it just wont last as long as synthetics obviously and may lack on the performance end.

Mobil 1- in my opinion one of the best "Walmart" off the shelf oils, its reputable, ive used it in 3 cars and have never had a problem and it gets great user reviews.

Castrol Syntec Edge: Believe it or not many people are saying this is now better than mobil 1, (be your own Judge i havent used it but plan to in the future) They claim 8x more protection then Mobil 1.

RedLine: in my opinion, in the top 3 for our car, its an ester base synthetic (recomended for our car) that is a performance oil as well with maximum protection.

AMSOIL- Engineered to outperform all conventional gasoline engine motor oils. Reduce heat, friction and wear for maximum power, performance and fuel efficiency. Clean engine formula. Resists high temperature break down that forms sludge and varnish. Lasts longer and offers better protection. Ideal for hot and cold climates

Others: lucas oil, Penzoil Platinum etc.

Hopefuly this helped and if i missed anything please let me know!
