Transmission rattle at high RPM on 3rd gear (+6k rpm)
 

Hello,

I recently noticed that the transmission rattle at high rpm (+6k rpm) especially on 3rd gear. I think it’s come from flywheel like the noise at low rpm on light flywheel. The clutch and flywheel has been changed (exedy kit clutch stage 1 with light flywheel) with oem CSC (I know it's bad but it was done by the previous owner last year) , since then I have drived 8000 km with this clutch kit.


I read on another post that rattle/chatter was performing at low rpm with light flywheel.


Is it normal this issue at high speed especially on 3rd gear ? I noticed that the transmission was more rattler/chatter during sporty driving (especially on autobhan (german highway) with no speed limit). The rattiling noise is less present when cold.


Can it come from elsewhere?

Check your shifter. There is a well known high rpm rattle coming from it.
Do a search for it on here.

I already check on another post, the rattle sound is from knob for the others.
Is it the same? For my issue, I think it's from transmission.
I try to make a video for explain my problem next week :)
