RJM Clutch Pedal 3.3 Possible Issues

Hey Guys

So to start off, only things done to the transmission are coolerworx short shitter and rjm clutch pedal version 3.3 and changes fluid to redline mt85. The clutch pedal was installed with the settings it came with. Now, I know our transmissions are super notchy and i'm already used to that, but recently, only when i shift from 1 to 2, right before it gets into second gear it feels like there is a grind, but there is no noise that it would usually make if you ground a gear.

its only when the car is extremely cold, like only the first 5-10 shifts and then after that smooth as a babys cheeks.

Im only worried because i am going to brp tomorrow for an event and i dont want to further mess up anything

any advice?

What setting did the clutch pedal come set with?

Sounds like normal operation.

I didn't change anything out of the box, and I had a shop install it. I can go back there today, anything I should check for?

The Redline MT85 is your problem. Our transmission use a GL4 75W90. You are experiencing what many people have. At Nissan, they had a TSB about it a long time ago. You notice it is tuff to shift when it is cold outside. Change to a 75W90 GL4 fluid and it will go away.

Not an issue, It will just be stubborn shifting it until it warms up.

Transmission oil temperature

The MT-85 takes longer to warm up to operating temperature that's why you are having issues shifting when it's cold. I rather have the Redline MT-85 than OEM because factory fluid can not handle redline shifting that much. Once the MT-85 is fully warmed up, it shifts much better than OEM in my opinion.

This is an excellent response from Ryan: http://www.the370z.com/engine-drivet...ml#post1998113

By the way, I run the blend he recommends, and have never experienced any issues.

You are in Florida. It doesn't get cold enough.
