Didn't know that they was using cut copper wire for rings. :shakes head: The solid steel rings have been used for years in other motors. That's there they should have started with.

It's a Stainless Steel Top Fuel hoop.

I have run that set up, its not new to motorsports - but it is for the VQ.

On my BBC motors, they leaked a little coolant at the copper gasket to deck, until they were up to temperature. Cometics never leaked any coolant.

Not an issue on a dry block.

May not be an issue with the special copper gasket either that SOHO has developed. I am curious how they deal with coolant seal, and if the head studs require re-torque.
