Hey guys,

Just wanted to let you know my OCD won the battle. Dropped the pan and just took the magnet out, man was that RTV silicone on tight. I cleaned the pan out, cleaned the mating surface of the upper oil pan portion, used RTV again and bolted it back up, letting it sit for 24 hours before I pour in the oil.

Thanks for all the suggestions and all the help, I appreciate it.

Did you plug in the flux capacitor that Nissan installed but never plugs in since you had the pan off? It sits above the oil pick up tube. Next to the cranker, with the Johnson rods.

My Johnson rod is Brown. Is it suppose to be a different color?

This happened to me and I ended up taking down the pan. Peace of mind.

Broken magnetic oil plug
