I now have a routine to fix it whenever it happens. With motor off I pop the bonnet, tap lightly on the TB and all the extension harness connectors, (with a little LED aluminium torch), close the bonnet, plug in my BlueDriver OBD2 scanner into OBD2 port, start engine and clear the P1239 code through the BlueDriver software on my mobile phone.
