P1233 Fuel Pump Driver Module Code
1 Attachment(s)
Hello,
I started my car early this afternoon and noticed that my check engine service light was on. I went to get it read with OBDII and here is what it showed for the P1233 code. Can anybody help me figure out what troubleshooting steps I should take first on the issue? Should I try cleaning the throttle bodies first? What about the fuel pump relay? If so, where is the fuel pump relay located? |
P1233 means something different in Nissanese: https://www.engine-codes.com/p1233_nissan.html

As pointed out, this a code that has to do with the bank 1 throttle body. Cleaning the throttle body won't fix this issue. Have a close look at the wires that go to the bank 1 (passenger side) throttle body. look for any sharp bends, broken insulation, etc. If you know how to use a multi meter, the factory shop manual has step by step instructions to check the throttle body and wires to the ECM. If not, then take it to your favorite shop. Here is a nice short video on the inner workings of the 370z / G37 throttle body |
