Anyone ever experience this after powertrain fluid changes?

Has any of you ever experienced a torque loss or less aggressive feel after replacing both transmission and differential fluid from stock to Redline? Both were replaced at the same

Both were replaced at the same time. My car just doesn't feel the same anymore. It's a 2013.

I did not notice any adverse effects after changing my differential and transmission fluids. Are you able to use your EcuTek app to check run times to 60mph, 100mph, 1/4 mile, etc.? Other than getting it back on the dyno, I am not really sure what to suggest for you (without CEL codes present).

I swapped over to Redline MT-85 yesterday, hoping to smooth out some shifting notchiness, (barely feels better) and thought my butt dyno detected a loss in power. Seemed fine today however. I didn't do the diff.

I didn't notice anything different when I switched to Redline in the tranny. Still grinds a little going from 6th to 5th.

With the OS Giken diff. You have to use 80w-250 lube to keep it quite. That stuff is thick.

Have the new fluids possibly reduced noise and vibration to the point the old butt dyno makes it feel more refined, possibly slower?

I assume the OP has a 6MT, if not and using Redline in 7AT may be an issue in comparison to OE fluid.

Definitely feels smoother; maybe i was just used to the more touchy aggressive feeling

I tried Nissan, Redline, Amsoil, and Motul. Nissan was fine and regressed badly when I switched to Redline and Amsoil.

I was happiest when I used Motul.

Nothing to do with torque and don't think it would affect that, it was more about how it felt and how smooth it was.

This is the thing. . .

I had Nissan OEM fluid and swapped it out for MT85. It was terrible when cold, however once warmed up it was good. However I felt the car struggle a bit, gears were getting notchy when shifting at times. So I dumped the Redline, went back to Nissan OEM, never had an issue, cold or hot. I think I'll try Amsoil next for kicks.

For the differential I used Redline. No issues with it whatsoever. I like using one brand across the board, I'm OCD like that. I think I'll go Amsoil in Diff as well next change.

update - car is performing much better. However, the transmission fluid smells when i step on it a little. It's definitely a different smell than what I'm used to.

lmao i'm pretty sure. If you ever do the fluid change yourself and go from OEM to Redline you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.
