Any difference between Z1 and torque solution tranny mounts?

Noticed the Z1 version seems to have a couple holes and a set screw in the main body of the mount the Torque Solutions version doesn’t. Any reason to spent 25% more on the Z1 version?

Never heard of Torque Solutions, but +1 for the Z1 mounts.

I have the z1 mount and I'm happy with it, it helped reduce alot of play I was getting in the shifter on accel and decel. Still a bit there but VERY little now. I can't say much about the other option didn't even know about it but Z1 seems to always be a reliable and great product!!

The Z1 mount is height - adjustable just like their engine mounts. Those set screws are most likely for securing the adjustment once it's set where you want it. IIRC Z1 sets the height of both their engine mounts and trans mounts to stock specs for the 370Z before shipping them out. The height adjustment would be useful say, if you had a different intake plenum that needed extra clearance for the strut tower brace. The adjustable trans mount would then allow you to match any changes to the engine height so everything remains aligned properly.

I use the Torque Solutions exhaust hangers and solid transmission mount. Quality is top notch. Unlike my experiences with Z1.

I've been impressed with their quality as well, and used them on an old Subaru project. They also make a cool floor jack adapter that fits on the pinch weld of the body where the stock screw jack would normally engage. Best $40 I've spent in a while.

Haven't tried their Nissan stuff yet, but also wouldn't hesitate to when it's time.

I just installed the Torque Solution mount and it is height adjustable just and I'm pretty sure Torque Solition would sell you the bushings if they ever blew out.

I had a torque solution, it was a quality piece but the NVH was unbearable with a 7AT.

That is why I run a factory mount.

Yup, lesson learned. Couldn't find anyone with a 7AT who went with a solid mount, only those saying "there's no aftermarket mount for the AT." :icon08:

chuckie311 06-21-2021 03:08 PM

its a 10 all around when in gear at a light or stopped in park. driving its not to bad.. but there is 0 movement in the drive line compared to the stock mount you can definitely tell the difference
