Battery suggestion for 2020?

I've been using Duralast Gold in all my cars and no issues. Batteries average lifespan for me is about 5 to 6 years.

This is great. I just bought an AC Delco 35PS for my Murano. Based on my research, and price point in Canadian $$, it's the same price as the DG. I paid $206 cdn all in.

Upon further comparison, I see they look identical (website images are even same) and have same performance numbers.

My AC Delco battery case is stamped "Made in Mexico". So...

The crazy part is, these same exact batteries were 50% less in 2020 right before COVID came to North America. IIRC, the DG Battery came to about $120 with the core charge.

Don't remind me. It did cost $150 dollars a piece for the 2 batteries in my truck in 2019. The same batteries are now $215 a piece. Both my diesel trucks batteries are 5 yrs old. Not looking forward to that bill. High quality AGM batteries are $258 a piece. Ugg

The motorhome had 6 batteries. 2 engine start and 4 house batteries. All AGM. Glad I don't have that bitch anymore.

Makes my lithium battery for my Z that came with a high quality battery tender and a bluetooth monitor feel cheap. LOL Plus, you had to replace them all at once. Engine batteries together and then the house batteries together. No fun.

In the time I owned it. I had to change the batteries twice. $1000 at a time.

Hit up CJM/Phunk

I've read that lithium batteries are heat sensitive. When I lived in FL, it got into the triple digits during the summer, esp. with the roads being blacktop and with the humidity.

That and I also read you have to be very careful when placing a battery tender on it? Something about being overcharged and discharged?

You need the correct battery tender for it. I have never needed mine. No issues in south Ga. heat which is probably hotter than Florida because we have no wind most of the time.

I use a CTEK smart charger which regulates charging, something like this:
https://smartercharger.com/products/ctek-lithium-us

phunk will get you what you need

Wow very nice!! I was eyeing the Z1 CF cross brace for 10lbs savings... but that's nothing compared to this... they're backordered now though
