Serpentine Belt with ATI Damper
Hi Guys,
I've just fitted my ATI Damper as part of my build & noticed the Auto Belt Tensioner is now past the usable Tension Mark on it. I did notice before fitting the Pulley that it is slightly smaller & figured this may be the result. What belt are all of you other ATI Damper guys using now? Cheers. Trevor. |
Which ATI Part # did you get? I accidentally ordered the undersized pulley (918584), and now I'm trying to find out the part number for the stock size wet sump application pulley. I have reached out to MA Motorsports regarding this.
To replace the stock belt, I purchased Gates Racing Serpentine Belt Part #K070795RPM. |
Thanks for the reply Mate.
I purchased mine in the 2nd group buy here on the forum. I assumed it was stock size but obviously not. Same part number as yours, 4% under driven. All of the others on the ATI website are listed as Dry Sump only. Maybe its the only one they do. http://www.atiracing.com/products/da.../damnissan.htm |
I run a stock Nissan belt and have had no issues.

I got mine on the group from MAM. I'm using the oem belt. Yea, the tensioner is at the limit. I've got over 4,000 miles on it so far.

Thanks Guys. |
According to Concept Z, the stock belt can be utilized.
"The patented ATI Super Damper is the only damper designed exclusively for high performance engines. This is the closest model to stock and is a 4% underdrive pulley, but can still be used with the stock belt and accessories with no negative effects" |
ATI Super Damper is one of the pulleys I ran for many years with no issues on the street or strip would recommend it with only the 4% underdrive. Just inspected the pulley every oil change and changed the belt on time.
