Oil Pressure Indication
Greetings all. This will be my first post. 1 month into Z ownership so have lots of questions.
All my vehicles have always had oil pressure indication. Obviously Nissan thinks indication of oil temp is better. I like it. But can an oil pressure gauge be installed?...maybe replace the center dash clock with it? |

Yes, an oil pressure gauge is important, it's unfortunate that Nissan only provided an idiot light that let's you know when you engine is likely already damaged beyond repair that there is no oil pressure.
I purchased an EVO gauge and Gale's A-pillar pods. You will need a couple of things. Most importantly: 2113-02-02-02 Description: Female BSPP TEE w/ Male BSPT Run Adapter 3036-02-02 Description:Male BSPT x Female NPT Pipe Adapter Credit: Full details are here. http://www.the370z.com/diy-section-d...ure-gauge.html |

If you get a gauge. It has to read to at least 150 psi. Cold idle and high rpm. It will read over 100 psi. I have a SpeedHut 150 psi gauge.

It's a b*tch, so not a whole lot of people have done it. Here are some of the details of my swap, using the gauge bracket made by Scope22, which he posted above:
