Supercharged 370 vs GTR?

hahahaha i think it'd be a good race, who would win?

Well with my new drag radials and the car 80 lbs lighter my N/A times should be low 12.6's.
When I get my GTM SC, with the 2900 rpm torque conerter. I should beat a stock GTR.
On the street the GTR will win ,but at the drag's its a hole differnet story. With me in the car it will weigh in at 3315. The GTR with driver at least 4100lbs. 185 for driver, 2 gals of gas both cars, 785 lbs, is the same as 75 rwhp. My 370 will have 410 to 420 rwhp to the GTR's 418. His all wheel drive vs my 4.08 gears. I should get 1.80 , 60 ft times with the 305 /35/ 18 drag radials. Im sure that it will run 11.65.s or better.

MC's ran 11.34 @ 122mph bone stock (well, w/ exhaust) if that helps you figure anything out

feelzpwr91 01-15-2010 10:15 AM

around a track we would get raped

Z eliminator 01-15-2010 04:45 PM

Yes we would get beat on a track. no contest , GTR hands down winner.
Its a great car.

Zsteve 01-15-2010 06:29 PM

Now chip the GTR and what happens? It would scream.

Does anyone know if the 2 turbos are setup for low end hp/tq on one and highend on the other?

HKYStormFront 01-15-2010 07:31 PM

they are sequential turbo's, custom tunes are returning fairly little gains without mods. but with exhaust and a few other tweeks, tuning (most are using a COBB accessport generic tune or getting them custom tuned by companies like forged) can return really good numbers, just as with any turbocharged car.

Zsteve 01-15-2010 08:39 PM

Thats why I was wondering, my last turbo got 50 hp and 80 tq from tune and exhaust and that was a generic tune done accordong to mods and not the car. The tune alone was good for 30+ hp gains by encreasing the boost level and AF mixture, etc. So I was wondering if the GTR would see the same gains for each turbo and have another 50+ or so hp at all rpms from a tune. If you encrease the boost level you encrease the power right? And being sequential then it should be in full boost at all times when stomping on it.

GTR 's with a stage 2 set up are running high 10's

Relativley easy to hit low 11's

They are beasts with a little tweaking

Have you seen AMS's new project.. theyre going for the GT-R HP record. 1000+ WHP its going to be built for the 1/4 and the track.. Loooks pretty sick so far... to bad u cant bang gears in it.. banging paddles just doesnt get me in the mood.

HKYStormFront 01-16-2010 07:07 AM

^^ it doesn't miss shifts tho. the GTR AMS is building is belongs to Chuck, one of the founders of NAGTROC, after it is done, i'm looking to make a trip down to FL to shoot some pics of it :woot:

Kastley85891 01-16-2010 07:52 AM

Post em up Fella, that will be awesome, will that be teh first 1K HP GTR, dont think any one has made that yet - Akuma and a few others have made >700

HKYStormFront 01-16-2010 08:48 AM

yea as far as i know it will be the first 1000+ hp GTR, at least in the US. here's the thread:

AMS to build a 1000plus Wheel HP GT-R! - NAGTROC - The Nissan GT-R Owners Club

be sure to skim all the way through. AMS is using a CAD computer to draw the engine bay and the engine which is allowing them to fabricate new parts based on what will fit. it's a really interesting read

Kastley85891 01-16-2010 09:07 AM

Thanks, my evening read is found - will keep me busy while Wfiey is on Facebook lol

GT-R with a tune and cat back can dip well into the 10's at 130mph plus, even at full weight of about 4000lbs with driver.
