Weird issue with exhaust

So I am having a weird issue, i woke up and i noticed my exhaust tone has changed it's much raspier, I have short tails and z1 hfc the exhaust sound different at wot too.

Anyone experienced this before?
I am thinking I have a leak at the y pipe because all the metal mesh around the flex part is torn apart.

My car used to pop loud but now I barely hear it

I had an issue with my flex pipes on the y-pipe as well, they were badly worn like yours and one side had a hairline crack in it. Just jack the car up and see if their is any cracks or holes.

Could it be an exhaust leak that developed after installing my hfc on the header sides

You have a massive exhaust leak because your flex metal is all torn apart. Local auto store should sell patching kits.

To confirm your diagnosis, get a length of water hose or similar, put one end to your ear, and move the free end under the car until the noise is the loudest.

Turns out it's the driver side header and Cat gasket
