New 4 Post Car Lift / Almost Ready for Turbo Install

2 Attachment(s)
Hey Group,
Installed My new car lift yesterday and wanted to share. It is a Nationwide 4 post 8,000 pound capacity storage / service lift. So far I'm pretty impressed for under $2,500 delivered. It doesn't require bolting to the floor and comes with a set up to move the entire lift with casters.

I bought the lift so my son and I would have an easier time installing parts and generally getting under this car :rofl2:. It will make it a lot easier to put the boosted performance kit in for sure!

Did you assemble this yourself? What's the height of your garage ceiling? This is very nice and I'm jealous of your clean garage too, lol.

I did assemble it myself with help of coarse. I need 3 other men to help moving the left ramp (it has the hydraulics under it and was about 500 lbs). It took me about a 6-7 hours to assemble.

I have a 9 foot ceiling. I will have to sit on a rolling chair to work under it, but it seems pretty comfortable.

I am still working on making my shed / garage nice. Just painted last week and I am starting to set it up now. Thanks. I always wanted a nice garage and a car to mod out!!!:tiphat:

One of those came with a house my fam bought. It's sturdy AF and I had no concerns working under it.

For additional safety, I used tiedown straps to secure the wheels to the ramps.

I'd highly recommend getting cylindrical foam padding and putting that on the inside lips of the ramp sides. I smacked my skull into those more times than I can remember.

The only gripe I had is you have to use the scissors jack to take a wheel off.

Great choice, Adam Sandler movies are the best!

Oh, nice lift too. I have been looking into a lift as well. Was your floor pretty level, or did you have to shim it?

What made you choose the 4 post instead of a 2?

What you installed was actually space for another Z.

I believe the manufacturer says your slope can not exceed an 1/4" per foot from level. When we built my shed, I told the concrete guys that I wanted the shop level like inside of my house.

The 4 post lift doesn't need to be bolted down and can be move with the caster kit that comes with the lift. That is why I went with the 4 post.

My brother-in-law has one in his giant work shop. It's nice!! He also has those jacks on his 4 post so he can do wheel work. Now I hate both of you guys!!!
