Strange A.C. issue
 

greetings;

I had an unusual issue with my AC this morning. When we got in it to leave church, the AC bottom would not engage the fan / cooling. So we drove home with the windows down.

Got home and did what every red blooded American male would do; opened the bonnet and stared at the motor. After about 5 minutes, closed the hood and get back in the car and started it. Pushed the bottom and the AC light came on and cool air came out!

I normally cut the AC off when I get ready to shut off the car but I left it on this time!

Anyone else have a similar issue? the car is still under warranty
so I want to head off any potential issues in the future.

Once in a blue moon I suffer from the same thing.

Only fix I've found was turning the car off locking it, waiting 5 seconds or so before getting back in. Feels like a software issue, sometimes it can also affect the stereo/bluetooth and guidelines on the reverse camera.

Happened maybe 3 times in the last year. Very annoying but never bothered the dealership with it, Will try and remember to mention it at the Service next month.

Can happen with low freon levels protecting the compressor from to wide of a high/low side differential.
