Strange A.C. issue
greetings;
I had an unusual issue with my AC this morning. When we got in it to leave church, the AC bottom would not engage the fan / cooling. So we drove home with the windows down. Got home and did what every red blooded American male would do; opened the bonnet and stared at the motor. After about 5 minutes, closed the hood and get back in the car and started it. Pushed the bottom and the AC light came on and cool air came out! I normally cut the AC off when I get ready to shut off the car but I left it on this time! Anyone else have a similar issue? the car is still under warranty so I want to head off any potential issues in the future. Thanks, QS43 :icon17 |
Once in a blue moon I suffer from the same thing.
Only fix I've found was turning the car off locking it, waiting 5 seconds or so before getting back in. Feels like a software issue, sometimes it can also affect the stereo/bluetooth and guidelines on the reverse camera. Happened maybe 3 times in the last year. Very annoying but never bothered the dealership with it, Will try and remember to mention it at the Service next month. 2017 GT model |
Can happen with low freon levels protecting the compressor from to wide of a high/low side differential.
