Assuming it’s the same on the 370. Can anyone tell me what each side of the gas tank (sending units) do? Behind passenger is fuel pump big one, behind driver is just a simple float by itself. One is for gas light? One is for level on gauge?

Many thanks in advanced!

They are both used for the fuel level. If one get's whacky, you gauge will act funky or not work.
