Sprint Booster V3

Just ordered it, its a throttle enhancer. Anybody else buy one. I did a research and looks like it works. :driving:

Had one, worked well for what it is. Had my car tuned and it was no longer needed or necessary, so sold it in the classifieds.

I just did a muffler delete and have a CAI. Looked at the cost of having it tuned locally and I know the places that do this and the cost is about the same. I like to do the work myself on my car and I rather do this mod than have the local mechanic mess with the electronics on the car. Thanks for the reply. :driving:

The Sprint Booster amplifies of your voltage of your pedal postition sensor. The placebo effect. When and if you do get a tune your Sprint Boost will be of no use to you sell it here in the classifieds! Keep your Sprint Booster if you ever tune your Z.

Based on what I read and the videos I saw. It opens the throttle a lot quicker than it's programmed. It will not add horsepower of course but it will give you the opportunity to adjust the way you want the car to run based on your needs,
It eliminates fly by wire throttle lag. :driving:

It's a hacky mod that makes it look like your'e harder on the throttle than you actually are. People seem to like it - but just know that you are losing that resolution in throttle position.

If you get a custom tune the throttle map can be adjusted to steepen that curve properly. If not - hope you enjoy the sprint booster!

I have one and I love it. Even in the normal mode (sport) it makes a big difference. Put it in Track mode and the car feels like a completely different vehicle off the line.

Money well spent IMO.

"This product does not alter fuel or ignition in your vehicle; it’s a simple plug-n-play mod that delivers instant response throughout the power band, making accelerating and revs matching incredibly more fun."

How does it affect SRM on our cars?

One of my friends has a sprint-booster and we think it causes driveability issues on the track when trying to maintain a certain slip-angle (and he drives with plenty of slip angle).

I'd recommend getting a tune instead.

I can't answer for SRM since I haven't had it on since the first year I had my car, but I had a Sprint Booster and returned it because I couldn't feel any difference when manually rev matching. I can't see it affecting SRM at all since the throttle isn't needed to do the auto rev match.

So which is it - sell it if you tune your Z, or keep it if you tune your Z?

Note that "incredibly more fun" isn't objectively measurable. My guess is that it's as simple as "zomg I get more of those revs when I blip the throttle"

More revs = more decibels = more fun

On that note, I prefer to heel-toe myself simply due to the fact that I hate the cracks and pops on the down shifts. Dunno if it's the foot placement or the software.

update

received my Sprint Booster a few days ago and today I installed it. Well I am shocked my car doesn't feel like my car anymore and I only had it in sport mode, I will try the race mode on a clear day without traffic. One thing I noticed is that I will not need the "rev matching" feature on the Z as when you downshift the RPM's remain high enough to make it shifting much easier. Not sure how to explain this, one thing is that I like my Z now more ....:driving: Props to Sprint Booster, the best mod I've done and it's not snake oil fo sho :tiphat:

I had one on my 09 and liked the improved feel of
Throttle response. have an 19 now and don't feel the need for it anymore
