If you’re happy with it cool I guess... but an ecutek tune could’ve changed your throttle response better than a sprint booster, plus add new features and increase both hp and tq... and isn’t that much more... but okay man whatever you want lol

As far as I can tell, SprintBooster (and all other plug-in "pedal enhancers") don't do anything you can't do with your foot. But the bottom line is: does it enhance the driver's experience. OP seems to like it so, for him, it was a good deal. Other people may prefer to just push on the pedal a little harder. To each their own.

THIS As stated earlier in the thread, It simply amplifies your pedals signal. Nothing more. Testing showed that actual throttle lag without it was .1 second from what Ive read. Negligible to say the least. It amplifies the signal by 30%...It also leaves the last bit of your pedal travel dead because your signal is maxxed at 70%. (see southarks post in regards to pushing the pedal harder) those who saw/feel improvement are doing so because their wallet is now $280 or so lighter.

well kids I bought a CAI mostly to make the engine compartment look better because really the increase in HP if any is negligible, the muffler delete mostly for the sound and if I got any additional HP, good. Now, this Sprint Booster makes the driving fun, and on a side note, how many times have you pressed the gas pedal and there was a "lapse" of power (on a standard transmission, never on an auto), it has happened to me more than once. Now I press the gas pedal and know that I will have the "oomph" all the time. And also I'm retired, $280 ...uhm I will have to cut down on my Cialis this month that's it...:driving::rolleyes:

the point is, $280 isn't far off a simple tune that will do that and more.

Pardon my ignorance about tuning a vehicle. Is it possible to change the way you want to drive let's say on the way to the gym and all of a sudden now you have this open road with lots of curves etc...and you go from Mr. Rogers to Dominic Toretto. What do you need to do in a "tuned" vehicle?... All I did today was switch from one number on a control pad to another. In a tuned vehicle, would I have had to stop and pull out my laptop?...I'm serious with this question as I just did a Youtube research and I'm momentarily disoriented.. :driving: and BTW again I had fun today, almost like coming back home from the Philipines and remarrying my ex-wife (that's another story, but I'm buying the engagement ring tomorrow) :p

With an Ecutek tune, one of the Race Rom features is adjustable throttle response. It can be done through the Ecutek dongle and the Ecutek app you can download on your cell phone.

So that means taking your eyes off the road or stop, you can't do this on a traffic light for example. Thanks for replying, :tiphat:

It can be done at a traffic light, the same as I had to do with my sprint booster.

So you had a Sprint Booster, good to know. I thank you for sharing your knowledge :driving:

OP: The point that redondoaveb and others are trying to make is that, for a little more money than what a pedal booster module costs, you can get a tune and get the same effect as the booster plus much, much more. More HP/tq, greater efficiency, etc.

IIRC, you can have more than one throttle pedal response curve/table and can select from them using the steering wheel controls without taking your eyes off the road.

If you are happy with your booster, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

I want to thank all the responses but on a side note I did a local inquiry on tuning the vehicle here in my neck of the woods and I have had friends bring their vehicles for other issues and have nothing good to say about them, therefore my hesitation in bringing the Z and placing my trust in them. Possibly because there are few places that say they "tune" but I think they should advertise as "tune-ups". I called one for "ha-has" and asked the cost and the minute they heard me say Z..." ahh it all depends on the time it can cost you from 350 to 550 depending. on how long it takes...blah blah.."
I didn't have faith in them and I wasn't sure what they would do or what I wanted them to do. YouTube had a few videos on the booster so I went with that mod. So on that note I'm glad to belong to this site :tiphat:

You can get an e-tune from a knowledgeable tuner wherever you are in the world.

I'm sure there are but I don't trust most mechanics. I have no friends that mod their cars, therefore I couldn't ask. The research on the Booster had no bad reviews and has a money back garantee so I decided to try it and I'm glad I did. But really this video made me look into the booster and made me laugh as it snows here in MA and I drive the Z all year round....BTW I do all the maintenance myself...here is the video https://youtu.be/WlAVGK-b47k?t=44

If you live in westfield mass then you should call Rich at RDZ motorsports in Danbury CT for a tune. He literally specializes in Z cars from the z32 to z34.

He tuned my car multiple times (when I made mod changes) and has been great each time.

It seems that you just called the wrong tuner.
