With a good cooler, hood vents shouldn't be necessary.

Having had a 19 row Mishimoto oil cooler back in the day the AN fittings were anything but durable they leaked and the sandwich plate leaked over time. I have had quite a few different brand oil coolers over the years and the out of all of them the only oil cooler that I installed on my Z that never leaked was the AAM Competition S-Line oil cooler and fitment was excellent. An oil cooler is there to do one thing and that’s lower your engine oil temperatures.

The rows are the size of the oil cooler. They seem to mostly be 19, 25 and 34 rows. You make the blockoff plate yourself. If the oil won't get warm enough, make a plate to cover part of the oil cooler in the winter.
Make sure you get one with a thermostatic sandwich plate, or the oil will never get up to temp.

A thermostatic plate is a thermostat, allows more or less oil to pass to the cooler. Just like your engine coolant termostat.

The sandwich adapter goes between the oil filter and the motor, with lines running into and out of the core. That's how the cooler gets fed oil. A thermostatic sandwich plate had a temperature controlled valve in it that blocks most all of the oil flow until the oil heats up. That way it can still get up to temp. It's like the thermostat in your cooling system. The blockoff plate is only needed if the oil is getting overcooled in winter. It just covers part of the cooler to block airflow to it, and raise the temp of the oil.
