2009 MT Base Model

Hi Im currently looking to swap my differential. I have a friend that has a spare 2009 nismo differential. Will I be able to swap this in to my Z without having any issues. Also its came from a manual. Thanks for the feedback :):icon18::tup:

Its a direct bolt in, as long as it is the entire pumpking (ie the entire case+differential). If you are just swapping the differential you will need the stub axles from his car as well.

Check the stub axle bolting. Some are through bolting, bolt and nut. The other is threaded into the stubs, bolt, no nut.

Since you will have it out. Now is the time to change the diff bushing.

While you are in there definitely change your differential bushing while you have the opportunity you will thank yourself later. Polyurethane or solid differential bushing is the only way to go on our Z’s. Eventually as you put mileage on your Z the Genuine Nissan differential bushings will fail it’s more a question of when than if.
