Default 6MT transmission sensors

I Have a Z32 with a Z34 transmission to swap into it.

What are the 3 sensors on the transmission?
6MT without SRM.

I need a speed signal for my haltech 2500, however the Z32 gets this from the transmissions and I believe the Z34 gets this from the ABS sensors.

any Idea how to solve this?

Does this sensor attach to ALL 6MT's?

Sounds like you are in uncharted waters here. I doubt anyone is going to have solutions for you off the cuff. But maybe someone will chime in with some additional info for you. Best of luck

It's not that specific speed sensor (the one you linked does not appear to be compatible with 370Z), but yes all 6MTs have an input speed sensor. They should have a gear lever position sensor, an input speed sensor, and a park/neutral position switch. See attached diagram from the FSM.

I just saw that in the FSM,

I'm not sure the Base model has the input shaft speed sensor though. I'll have to check!

Thanks for the pic.

so just found this.

does anyone know if the sensor plugs in or will it need to be drilled.....fml

I did, but they didn't have the transmissions or cars on hand that have this transmission

Another poster is correct in that only models with SRM have a gear position sensor. I really wanted that sensor data for a CAN bus project, but I have a base model. After much research I discovered that the sensor is not present.

Really? I thought the gear lever position sensor also provides the data for the gear display on the front dash gauge cluster. Figured it would be on both non-SRM and SRM transmissions. The input speed sensor makes sense that it would only be on SRM transmission. But the FSM diagram I posted was from a non-SRM portion of the manual, so I'm not sure why all of the sensors are still shown and listed on the diagram when it seems like some are not present on the non-SRM transmissions. Color me confused...

Are there base models that have the gear displayed on the cluster (mine does not)? If you think about it, would there really be any reason to include it, aside from SRM and the gauge display?

As I said I wanted it for a CAN bus project, but since I don't have it I'm going to see if I can infer it from engine RPM, transmission gearing, and clutch engagement.

Talking with the one group at ZDayZ. The 5 to 6 speed swap was common. So I figure Z1 would have info on it. Maybe it's not. Check with the Z32 forums. They should have something.
