Why? You get 10% alcohol or more from the pump!

Never. Just use Premium Grade Major Brand Gas at every fill up. All Major Brand Gas have enough additive Cleaners in their Premiums that you do not need to use an off the shelf cleaner. I use the same Name Brand Premium in all of my vehicles ever since I can remember, and I have never suffered a fuel system problem.

Personally, I wouldn't trust a dealership to choose a good product or to use it properly. YMMV

If you know you are getting good gas, a cleaner isn't necessary. Unless you are buying really crappy gas, once every year or two should be enough.

BG 44k is the only thing I will use. Chevron Techron stuff is a joke and does nothing. 44k is the only thing I have found that works.

you can't really tell if it worked or not unless you have dirty injectors. As other stated, the premium brandsgasoline will keep the injectors clean for many miles.

I have tried several brands of additives, but couldn't really tell the difference.

Depends on where you live, if your in an area with decent gas then no you'll never need too. Does the cars owner manual say anything about fuel cleaners? Dealers maintenance is almost always excessive and unnecessary to make the uninformed spend more money on things like blinker fluid.

The local Hyundai Dealer wanted to do the following at 15k miles on my Tiburon ,manual, for $600; I didn't even argue and walked out silently.
· Change engine oil & Filter
· Install JB Maintenance Kit
· Includes: Fuel Save, Friction Modifier & Deposit Control
· Check & Fill all Fluids
· Inspect and Adjust Tire Pressures as needed
· Lubricate door hinges and hood latch
· Rotate Tires
· Multi Point Inspection
· Replace Air Filter
· Clean and Adjust Rear Brakes
· Transmission Service (Drain and Fill)
· Perform Coolant Service (Drain and Fill)
· Perform Battery Service
· Replace Cabin Air Filter

The battery "service" + lubing the hinges and latch + checking all fluid levels is worth 600$ alone. Can't believe you man!!!

Although... if you've been running shitty gas up to this point, maybe? If you've run quality gas from the beginning, just ignore this.

It's like vitamins for your car. It's not really needed with modern gasoline and regular oil changes, but you do it anyway because it makes you feel good.

I like Chevron's Techron. I buy a case at Costco and stick a quart in every 6 months to a year.

I just run a half tank of 100 octane every six months to a year. If you are running 93 you should be good too go. Shell fuel is the best as it has the best additives and that is why they charge more. I have not use Chevron gas after Sebastian at Specialtyz told me how bad it was after he did a tune for me. He said it was so bad he drained it and added Shell fuel to complete the tune.
