370Z Base model transmission fluid and rear differential oil change

Hello everyone! I am not lazy and you might think i haven't searched the forum to get answers before this post but I did and I am getting VERY confused Can somebody help me finding the right products? I even called stealerships and the people working there are ridiculous They don't even know the answers and keep asking me stupid questions while fighting each others saying no no no manual, no no automatic smfh... so I hung up. So my question is :

1. What is the exact fluid do I need for my 6MT transmission? I prefer OEM and I believe it is 75W-85. Can somebody please confirm?
2. What is the exact fluid do i need for my rear differetial (not LSD, I have a base model)? This part kills me. Everybody saying I should use 75W-90 (either redline or eneos for GL-5) but when I called a dealer, they said 80W-90 Once more, I do not have LSD. I have a base model. Is it different fluid to be used for non-LSD and LSD? or same fluid?

I prefer OEM spec. Can somebody help me please? It will be very appreciated. Thank you guys!! You guys are the best!!

Here is a cut and paste from my personal maintenance notes for my manual trans Z, Touring without the sports package, the same as yours:

Oil filter: Pure One PL14610
Filtermag SS250

Engine Oil: 5W-30 Red Line oil 6 1/2 quarts (amount due to oil cooler and larger Pure One filter)

-Rear differential oil: Redline 75w90 synthetic two quarts. 10mm Allen head ratchet attachment needed.
-Transmission oil: 3 quarts: Red Line MT-85
-Rear Differential oil: 2 quarts Red Line 75W90

- Antifreeze: BLUE 2 1/8 quart total (2.3 gallons)
-Power Steering Fluid: Red Line D6 ATF (trans fluid)
-Clutch Fluid: Motul RBF600 (dot 4 brake fluid)
-Brake Fluid: Motul RBF600 dot 4

I've been using Red Line fluids for years and they work great. I came up with the above info after researching all of this for way longer then I should have. The trans fluid I have listed works great and I noticed smoother shift throws as soon as I did the fluid change. The brand you choose to use is up to you, but I went with Red Line because of my experience with it as well as the positive reviews from others. Whatever you use, I would recommend using a quality brand fluid.

PS: Most dealerships are staffed with morons in my experience.

Don't get too worried about a few viscosity points. The difference between 75W and 80W isn't much (and, with tolerances considered, possibly zero). And you don't operate in the "W" range for very long.

Never trust a dealership - they acquired the moniker "stealership" for good reason. There may be some good ones out there, but I haven't found them.

I have a 2019 sport coupe with the 6MT and changed out the driveline fluids recently. My gearbox was notchy, especially the 1st - 2nd shift which also made noise sometimes, unless I rev matched it perfectly. I went with Redline MT-85 in the tranny and Redline 75W-90 diff lube in the diff. Shifting across all the gears has improved significantly, with the 1st - 2nd becoming pretty good now. There is also noticeably less driveline friction, as the car takes off from a start more smoothly and with greater strength.

I talked to a dealer service manager who lied to me about Nissan voiding my warranty if I used any driveline fluid other than the Nissan brand oils. When I started talking in details about the difference between the terms recommended and prohibited and the meaning of the API viscosity and protection level numbers he quickly shut up. He's now my "big friend" when I come in for service and makes sure that the service technicians do exactly what I would like on my car.

I have a 2009 6spd manual sport pkg and touring pkg I believe it has LSD but redline 75w90 has several item number versions can anyone provide the exact item number? I have 57904 and 58304, and a few others... I'm confused.

The 57904 is better suited for a limited-slip rear differential

The 58304 is better suited for a manual transmission, but can also be used for a limited-slip (clutch type) rear differential for maximum lock-up, as in the rear differential may make more noise.

However, you should check what type of lubricant is actually specified. Amsoil website suggests API GL4 type for the manual transmission and API GL5 for rear differential. I use Amsoil in my '11.

Can't believe I have owned my Z for 10yrs now, anyways I've been running with redline oil since day 1 and had a few track days during my ownership, no issues with the motor, sadly i do have 5th gear grind and assuming synchros are wearing out, currently at 117Kish miles.

HI all.....Can anyone enlighten me as to why the nismo calls for a synthetic 75W-90 and non nismo calls for a conventional 80W-90? does it really matter if i put a synthetic 75W-90 in my sport differential?? Thanks in advance!

Lighter weight means less frictional losses but can mean more noise and increased wear. Synthetic can help with the latter. IRL, the difference between 75 and 80 is negligible (given the tolerances for oil weights, it could be zero).
