Turn the ignition off as soon as the airbag light goes out the first time.

If you have the airbag light blinking here is how to reset it:

1. Push the start button two times (Ignition on but engine not started).

2. Watch the airbag light closely. It will stay on for a few secs. and then as soon as it blinks off (the start of the flashing), turn the key off INSTANTLY.

3. Count to 5 (1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi . . . .)

4. Repeat steps 1-3 two more times until you have done the cycle three times.

5. Now turn the key on and watch the light. It will start blinking in a different, slower manner. This is diagnostic mode. You can watch this for a little while, no hurry.

6. Now turn the key off again, Count to 5 like in step 3 again, and turn back on. If the procedure worked, the airbag light will not be flashing.

If it does not work the first time, just repeat the steps again.

Back to Google I guess. If I can't find anything that works, off to the dealer to get ripped off for 3 minutes work.

Did you try the electrical short method? There is one that uses a paperclip (or other metal means) to short the wiring and reset the light. It is certainly more involved. But way cheaper than the dealer. I've tried it - did not solve my problem but it's not impossible.

Is there a tutorial on that method? My airbag lights been on since I removed and replaced my headunit. I tried the other method a bunch of times and can only get it to go into the slow blinking stand by mode.

Well, I guess I was wrong ... I cannot seem to find it anymore. If I come across it I will post it up.

Pretty sure it's in here ... I didn't do the resistor or anything, but I believe it was from this thread.
