OBDII Port Moved on MY2019
2 Attachment(s)
Just got myself a 2019 370z and noticed something odd about it. Nissan seems to have relocated the OBDII Port on it and used a little metal plate to cover where it used to be (I had a 2009 before).
So now the port is over to the left of the clutch pedal. Anyone with an idea on why they would do this? |
Seems like it would cut down on sexual harassment lawsuits as the techs no longer have to reach in between the driver's legs to plug into the port.

It turns out that they moved the OBD Port to make room for a CAN Gateway. This device splits the CAN network into 3 parts (OBD Port, Infotainment & Normal). So it is no longer possible to capture most CAN data using the diagnostic port since it is segregated on a seperate network.
