Default Internal Computer after Injector Upgrade

I've been FI for a number of years now but I do a number of Cannon Ball type runs and the range on the internal Computer is always well out.

This is usually not so much of an issue but this year we we're running around the French Alps and Petrol stations with 98ron (UK) are few and far between. The mileage range when full is 138 and with 6 dots reads 38, this is not accurate and I wondered if any of you guys with larger injectors have been able to change the onboard computer to make it more accurate.

Thanks in advance.

The reason why the dots aren't accurate is due to the shape of the fuel tank. When it's full, the top two dots have more fuel because it's over the hump made to clear the drive shaft. As the fuel drops, it's not measuring nearly as much fuel, so it reads a lot less fuel per dot.

The range setting is thrown off by the aftermarket fuel pump and and injectors. this is normal. has nothing to do with the tank or the shape of the tank.

mine is exactly as yours, i dont think theres much u can do about it,

Didn't realize he was referring to the range. Thought that as common knowledge by now... Or have the due diligence to search. Either way, the accuracy of the dots to the shape of the tank is still very much accurate.

I thought the injector scaling and fuel mileage was able to be corrected with Ecutek.

Search brings up nothing and I'm quite aware of the problem. However, I know that the Range can be edited by scale.

What I suppose was asking is if any forum user has attempted to change the scale to be more accurate, instead of guessing it myself.

I knew the general range of the car, but after going A2A and gaining more power I was a little worried that I would be off, and when your driving 2.5k miles in a 4 day period with limited stations around in a convoy it sort of makes sense if you all refuel at the same time.

If you can't get the car to compute fuel consumption, range, etc, some of the OBD readers (eg, ScanGauge II) that are available will. With your mods, it won't be plug-and-play - you'll have to determine some parameters empirically.
