Thats good news to hear for a change.

That would've been an expensive pill to swallow.

Man glad they are going to cover it for you. Personally I would replace the core, cheap insurance, but if the budget is tight I would run without one until you can replace it. $.02

Best of luck and thanks for serving :tiphat:

Sorry to hear that man. Similar thing happened to me a while back with my old 350z. Any updates on what the problem was?

Nissan originally only warrantied for a short block, but there was scoring in the head, and got the full long block approved. I'm picking it up this weekend :)

Good to hear.

Congrats

I bought a new oil cooler core. I'm going to try and clean the lines before I decide on replacing. Car is running great, but valet decided to hit a parking block with my bumper the next day. So dealing with more drama as usual.

One more reason to never valet park. Years ago had one break a volume knob off the stereo with volume blasting.:shakes head: And it was a self park, but you had to surrender your keys so they could move the cars as needed.

How is your car doing since the engine change? Good I hope.

First time seeing this...wow...Glad they covered it with the mod list you have

I anticipate you had good luck with the new engine you installed? Best wishes with your new power plant under the hood. It’s really hard to believe the fate your old engine seen at such low mileage. Everyone I talk to will say our VQ37HR engines are “bulletproof” and will last a long time. People will have different experiences with any engine from what I see. It is the consumers decision to decide their oil change intervals and what brand products they will use for their oil changes.
