I ordered a Z1 oil cooler kit the other day. I figure that while I'm down there I may as well add a proper oil pressure gauge. I'm trying to find the most elegant solution to adding the sender. Many people have used T-adapters at the factory sensor location, I came across some hose fitting adapters that look interesting:
https://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/100530/10002/-1 I've confirmed that the probe of the Defi gauge I'm installing is 1/8" NPT. What I'm concerned about is the material of the adapter. It's aluminum. From what I've seen, most other fittings are brass. These don't list a temperature/pressure rating, so... Does anyone have any opinions as to whether or not it's OK to use this? |
