Question on vq series

Pardon my ignorance. Are vq's from g37's (09+) exactly the same as the z34? I need a replacement pallet motor for an 09 370 and I can source one locally from a 2012 g37 auto sedan.

Any wiring considerations etc. ?

Yeap same engine. You may need to swap over some parts due to different year model such as the coolant piping since the 12' models have factory oil cooler (Stabilizers).
