Mobil1 M1-108A breaking down?

It's glue from filter media ends. It happens once in while to ALL filters. Very rare, but happens. Seen it lots. Even Nissan filters.

What do you do if you notice this?

Also, been using the M110 size and not the M108 filter for most of the car's life

Not much you can do as you only see it when you take the filter off.

Don't want to think what happens if it gets ingested into the oil system, or plugging up oil galleys or stuck in moving parts.

I've never experienced anything like that. I figure, if you stick to a good oil filter, you shouldn't see that problem.

I would also run it by Mobil and see what they say.
