Pure Power Billet Oil Filter worth it?

Any of you have experience with the Pure Power Billet Oil Filter? I believe it filters from 30 Microns and below while the Purolator PureOne Oil filters filter at 20

Default Pure Power Billet Oil Filter worth it?

Any of you have experience with the Pure Power Billet Oil Filter? I believe it filters from 30 Microns and below while the Purolator PureOne Oil filters filter at 20 Microns and below. So which is better for over the life of the engine? Replacing the PureOne Oil filter every oil change, or just cleaning the Pure Power Billet Oil Filter?

20 micron is a smaller particle, so it should be "better" for particle removal, but smaller pore size filters usually mean a more restrictive filter membrane.

It is a trade off of flow versus particle removal. We have a very small filter, so flow will be hit by particle size.

I think that most big name filters are fairly equal and do a fine a job. My car would get the Purolator of those two. I normally use OE or Fram or Mobil.

Isn't a billet oil filter is a 37HP bolt on?

You'll break even at 183,000 miles if conventional filters are changed every 5K...

I think I'll stick with the Purolator..

Thanks good point Modshack. I did not work the ROI on that item.
