First gear clutch sound
Hey guys, my first post here...
I just picked up a 2016 370z with 9k miles on it and noticing a strange sound when pushing the clutch in. It only happens in 1st, and only happens if I push the clutch real fast. If the car is warm it does not do it quite as much. If I baby the clutch a little bit from 1st -> 2nd I don't hear it even when its cold.. The sound is strange, it sounds like the plate is making a wobbling sound or something... It really happens ever time if I rev up in 1st, then push the clutch real fast. Have you guys ever heard of anything like that? I'm going to have to the dealer take a look and is under CPO, but wondering if this is a common thing you guys have heard? thanks, -jim |
As far as I know, this is normal in the Z with a mt.

Yup, our cars have a very clunky clutch.

My whole drive train is very noisy. Has been since day one.

I have had my Z for almost a year and had the same sound. Had the guys at my shop look into it and they flushed out the old clutch fluid. Seemed to have made it quieter but this is norm for our cars.

"clunky" is the perfect word for this.
