I just took my car in to the local speed shop, because they were running a special for three pulls on their DynoCom. I don't have a set of baseline stock numbers for my car, but all I've added so far is the Garageline X and Mid-pipe combo, and cat delete with Motordyne ART pipes. The third pull was the best, and I put down 312whp, but only 269tq.
Stock, the Nismo is supposed to have 276tq. So, my question is, why would my torque be less than stock, if the horsepower is higher (since I understand stock engines put out about 295-296whp)? The only explanation I can think of is the DynoCom is reading low, but if this is so, I wouldn't expect my horsepower to be much higher than it is now (like, say, on a DynoJet) with the minor upgrade. Plus, I understand that DynoComs are fairly close to DynoJets. Something doesn't add up... |
