2009 Base differential 3.335 swap to 2015 Nismo LSD 3.69 Differential
Hi there,
This a very noob question but I would like to know if there will be no issue to swap 2009 Base differential 3.335 to 2015 Nismo LSD 3.69 Differential, both are for 7AT. Do you think there will be no issue with ECU or any other element or fitment at the moment of install. thanks for your answers in advance, |
You swapping out diff? If so. Look at your stub axles on the diff. Some stubs are threaded with no nuts. Just uses bolts. Others have no threads and used bolts and nuts to bolt the axles to the stub axles on the diff. So, if the diff stub axles in your Z is not the same as the diff you're installing. You will have to remove the the stubs from the one in the Z and install them in the other diff. Not hard to do once you have the diff removed. You have to take a big hammer and knock the stubs out. The stubs are held in place with a spring clip inside the diff.
Be a good time to replace the diff bushing with a SPL bushing kit since you have it out. Your speedometer will be a little off. |

These diff. Are both from a 2017 Nismo 7AT to a 2009 Base 7AT. As I understand it's just swap and that's all?
