I'm kind of clueless now. I need your guys' help.
I have a 2010 370z Twin Turbo with about 35k miles. Car has been running great. Recently replaced clutch and flywheel. All maintenance has been performed on time as well. Details: Recently, car has been sputtering, feels like misfire. Pop coming out of the exhaust when driving and can actually hear the sputter just during idle. Car threw a cel. It was P2A00. Bank 1 Air fuel sensor 1. In all, it drives rough now and has complete loss of power. I've checked the coils and the plugs. I'm doing a compression test later to find out if it can be a valve or piston. Any other ideas? Thanks a ton guys |

Did you replace the sensor the code pointed you toward? A new O2 sensor could conceivably cause everything you've described.

O2 sensors can go bad. It's cheaper and easier to replace that and see if the problems go away than going too much further down the rabbit hole.

Did this happen after the clutch install? There's a crank position sensor tucked up behind the downpipe that gets crispy with the turbo heat, and can easily be fubar'd during the clutch install.

I fried my crank sensor and the car would not start at all. What are your afr's doing? It could be a bad injector. What tunning package do you have? If you have ecutek you can check to see if it is an injector by disabling each cylinder in sequence. You disable cylinder 1 and it should run like it is on 5 cylinders, then enable 1 and disable 2 and so on. If you disable a cylinder and there is no change in the way the motor is running then that is your bad cylinder or injector. This also happened to me and the car ran as you have described.

Thanks for all the advice. Please keep them coming.
I am running the GTM kit. I do have a leak coming from my catalytic converter. Once I pass emissions I’m going to get test pipes. I have an Uprev tune so I can’t try the ECUtek way but checking the injectors is my next step. If it was my guess it could be something fuel related or a cracked exhaust manifold. |
