I would call a flat bed and have it towed, Raf. Best not to exacerbate the problem, whatever that is. Appears to be a coolant leaked?

Spray pattern and impact location suggest reserve hose sprung a leak under pressure. Possibly built up sediment plug released or hose weak spot. But I'd say def coolant

DW's Altima had something like that a few years ago while we were nearing Yellowstone on vacation. All fluids looked ok to me, so we stopped to have it checked by apparently the only mechanic within 50 miles from where we were at the time. Stumped him completely.

We drove it a couple thousand miles before we got home. No issues on the rest of the trip, but we were expecting a tow at any point. I don't think it recurred before she sold it a couple of years later, but I may be wrong about that.

I wouldn't advise soldiering on with it as we did, but she was ready to move on from the Altima at that point anyway, so it wasn't a huge risk for us except for the possibility of being stranded.

It's in the shop. Waiting to hear what they have to say. The dried up green crud is what was interesting. And since it was dry and crusty, I suspect it happened earlier in the day and not last night. Can't locate the source. Looks like it puked on itself.

Impossible to tell on the internet but looks like radiator or possible condenser leak and fan blew it all over. If MIL came on then there should be at least something to go on.

On second thought nothing showing on the front of the hose so source looks maybe lower right of engine and serp belt threw in up. With that much mess it will probably show itself fairly easy.

It wouldn't throw a cel and I don't know where the mounts are in this car yet, but that's exactly what it looks like when a fluid filled motor mount ruptures.

I just showed these pics to my wife and she immediately said, "That looks just like my car except mine also got on the bottom side of the hood." (See my previous post itt.) Her Altima did not throw a code and had no noticeable subsequent mechanical issues, so the motor mount theory makes sense for her issue. OP's may obviously be something completely different than hers was.

Silicone doesn't dry with a green though. That suggests a metallic compound involved. Impact point might allude to serpentine belt throw, but the angle seems a bit off... unless the majority of the shot hit the hood and the spots we see are side effect. Spot pattern still suggest a direct shot, which follows back to a weak point in hose fittings

Multiple issues found. Cel code thrown was P0106 and traced to ECM. Pinhole found on upper radiator hose and was spraying the **** out. Decided to replace upper and lower hoses and the bad fittings. All is good now and left with a clean engine bay.
