Hey fellas,
I've had my Z up on jackstands working on the brakes, and just this last weekend, I was underneath it, checking everything out, looking for any issues.. I came across this. I'm hoping some of you veterans can help me out. As I was working my way from the front of the car, to the rear, just past the transmission bell housing, I noticed a tremendous amount of black particles, almost like soot, as I started to wipe away some of it, I noticed that a rubber grommet/seal was 85% completely obliterated (this was the black particles, come to find out) and was spread out everywhere in the general area. It was like the rubber had been dropped in a blender. See pics. My question is, what was it? Do I need to get it replaced? Should I be alarmed? https://preview.ibb.co/kYbNxc/IMG_1019.jpg https://preview.ibb.co/e5Drqx/IMG_1020.jpg https://preview.ibb.co/m0eaHc/IMG_1021.jpg https://preview.ibb.co/nCLAiH/IMG_1025.jpg https://preview.ibb.co/jX933H/IMG_1027.jpg
