MotorvateDIY Video: $20 Diff Bushing Fix
I just wanted to share our latest video on how to fix a ruptured differential bushing for about $20 in 20 minutes.
Many G35/G37/350Z/370Z owners have this issue and this video just might save you a little money. |

Great find for me , this guy in You Tube actually replaced the busing and it took him 2 days but he did it himself and the final outcome was the same....thanks MotorvateDIY, hopefully I wont have to use this video but is good to save

I like the idea but let’s see how long the apoxy holds up. Would love to hear an update on this after several thousand miles. Mine ruptured around the 20,000 miles mark and had been replaced with the same polyurethane kit from White Line. It’s insane to think Nissan want us all to buy an entire subframe only to replace a shitty *** bushing that would eventually fail again!

Nice I always wondered if anyone injected something into the stock bushing. Seems like a bandaid fix but good enough especially if you dont have the time or money to swap the bushing out with a whiteline bushing. Might give this a try next week.

Our Canadian friend just MacGyvered a $20 solution to a $500 problem. For those not planning to keep the car for a long time this is a good alternative. Would like to hear from him on how the injected material performs over time.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words! I really appreciate it.
I have added a "Diff Epoxy Fix: 6 month follow up" episode to the production schedule for July 2018. It will be interesting to see how it looks in 6 months. |

Nice temp fix. How long will it hold up? What about the front diff bushings? They need fixed too. They also allow play.
That rear sub-frame has a ton of movement.

I am curious to see the improvement on the sub-frame movement with the Z1 sub-frame collars installed+this mod. My diff bushing is shot and I dont have the time or money right now to to replace them. I did however get some Z1 sub-frame collars for Christmas and installed them on Monday and definitely noticed the rear doesnt shake as much as it used to. Will be doing this mod sometime next week thanks again to the OP for the info!!

In my opinion, the front diff bushing are fine and are working as designed. They have zero impact on how the car feels under acceleration. Keep in mind, soft subframe bushings reduce broken CV joints by absorbing most of the drive line shock, plus I don't want any more road noise or vibration inside my G37. It is loud enough for an old guy like me |
