Limp Mode?

What’s up guys.

A few days ago, I was driving to the commuter lot going around 50 in 4th. All of a sudden, my car is getting no power. The RPM’s just suddenly start dropping and I’m downshifting into now 1st/2nd gear. I was low on gas and figured I ran out of gas, however when I pulled over, the engine didn’t stop running. I put it into neutral and turned it off, and the car started back up with no issues.

I drove about half a mile down and filled up and it was acting fine. Recently though, I found out under hard acceleration in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th, the car hesitates to accelerate then accelerates with no issue. It’s kind of like the engine lags or stutters then it takes off. I figured it may be the spark plugs, coil packs, MAF sensor, or throttle body that messed up during what I presume was “limp mode.”

I haven’t taken it to the dealership yet and no codes have been thrown either.

Any ideas on what this might be?

EDIT:

After taking it to Nissan and then being unable to diagnose and even replicate the problem, I’m gonna be taking it to another Nissan with a GT-R tech located there. Taken my car to him before and he was able to diagnose it with ease.

The annoying part is no codes are being thrown or anything. I’ll update again with any info to help in case others run into this issue.

Maybe add a faulty fuel pump to the check list? Please post the results when you find out the problem. Good luck man....

I was going trough the same think and after doing some research I found out that my oil gallery gaskets located inside the timing chain cover blew out. Easiest way to find out Is to remove the oil pan and check for small gasket pieces.
