Sorry, forgot to mention that. I knew that point when i bought the kit. They have the parts i need at the shop i got this...but i used up my cash to get the kit, ill be getting that stuff later. Wont be installing the kit until the spring anyways for 2 reasons. 1. i have less then a month before im deployed for 3 months with hte army. and 2. there is snow all over the place here and i think snow + nitrous = bad idea, considering im having a hard enough time getting traction as is. Yea, im going to check NAPA tomorrow and see if they have the plugs. Priced how much it will cost to get the lines to run to the 2nd intake....approx $170. Thats for 2 splitters, nitrous nozzle, jets to split each intake into a 25shot (total of a 50shot), 4 braided hoses. Still trying to figure out where to put the nitrous management unit at. There is no room in the engine bay...only option is to put it next to the coolant and run a longer hose to the other intake. Also where do you guys think I should have my purge come out of? This is of course when i get the Racer Tuners kit in a few weeks.
Heres a few pictures how i can have the bottle mounts. Didnt get a picture of the third idea...not sure if the track will allow it anyways. But behind the seats fits a 10lb bottle perfectly. And a little funny picture... |

If you get a tune you can safely run a 50 shot on each intake which is what I would do.. From talking with some of my friends on ChicagoZ they said that a 50shot(total) wont really increas your 1/4mile times and also make that much more power. you have to take into consideration drive train loss. That is why I would do a 100shot that would be like an extra 80-85whp
and if you take the precausions such as window switch and a good tune you will be fine DAN

I say do it and take me for a ride I want to see what a Nitro car feels like. Rode a bike once on the 10 Fwy with it. Doing about 80, hit a little button when I was in 6th and hit 140 or so.. Pretty crazy feeling and it tore some of the teeth off the rear sprocket (it was aluminum, stupid idea on the owners part).
Anyway, too old for that crazy type stuff now a days but a rush just the same!

First off, this is a great picture!
Second, I'm really interested to see the results on this setup. I've heard it can be done safely with the right equipment and tune so I'm very interested to see how this turns out Snakes. Keep us updated.

Only reason i wanted to go with something lower then a 100shot is I have never used nitrous before. So i dont want to use a huge shot and something goes wrong then im ******. I know with all the proper parts and a tune everything should be safe but ya never know. However i started thinking, its to much of a hassle to set it up for a 50-75 shot and then change to a 100-125shot. Tune, fuel grade and other things will have to be changed. So i might as well just go straight to 100 shot.
I'm still getting the blow down tube, purge kit, WOT switch, Window Switch and bottle heater and spark plugs. I'm going to put the main activation switch between the 2 heated seat switches. The purge botton will be where the sync rev match button would be if i had it. Window Switch box will be where the NAV system would be. And im taking out the volt gauge and placing the presure gauge there. I'm hoping ill have the 2nd kit before i leave for the Oympics, which is around Jan 19th...wont be home until March 26th. As for the tune, I talked to a local shop about tuning my car. They have COBB but never tuned a 370z. Since they said they never tuned a 370z they will give me a discount since its a learning curve. Last time i got that deal, my mechanic ****** my car up...was able to run but it ran shitty and cost me a few hundred bucks to figure out the issue...never found out what caused the issue until i switched superchargers and then got a new tune. So like i already said, i wont get home until March 26th...so shortly after that date ill have dyno results of what im making with the bottle. Just with the Stillen intakes im making 280whp and 225lbs trq Last edited by Snakes709; 12-20-2009 at 05:19 PM. |

Ok question for people. Going to order the other set of parts to run a second line to the 2nd intake and a adaptor so i dont have to actualy cut the fuel line, just make it plug and play, which includes:
6x -3AN to 1/8 NPT, Straight 2x Fitting, 1/8" NPT Female Tee 1x Fitting, 5/16" Hose to 3/8" Barb 1x -4AN to 1/8 NPT Straight 1x 1ft 5/16 Fuel Hose 2x 5/16 Hose Clamps 1x Fitting, 5/16" SAE Tube to 3/8" Barb Fuel Adapter, 1/8" NPT Port 1x 90 Deg -4AN Swivel Adapter 2x 1/8 NPT Bulkhead Fitting w/ Backing Nut 1x Nozzle "Blackout" 2x Steel Braided Hoses -3AN Ends So i've decided im going to run a 100shot. 50 in 1 intake, 50 in the other. Now my question is, what size jets are needed....17/32 makes a 55 shot, what drops it down to 50 even? 17/30? Last edited by Snakes709; 12-20-2009 at 11:44 PM. |

So I got the parts orderd but they wont be here before i leave to be deployed for 3 months with the army. I got a tiny bit of progress done...not much i can do since A. i dont have a good working enviroment. B, i dont want to set the kit up until i get the parts i orderd and the racer tuners kit and C. im slowing installing part by part because my gf doesnt want me installing the kit...she wants me to bring it to a professional..but its pretty **** simple.
Anyways heres a few pictures of what i did tonight and dont laugh at my artistic skills |

That red switch with the cover is AWESOME! Reminds me of gone in 60 seconds and Eleanor.
I can't wait to hear how this thing feels when you get it all wrapped up. A buddy of mine had a bright yellow Dually (back when lowered dually chevy's were in). Thing had a 454 and he ran through so much nitrous it was crazy! You'd hop on the freeway and this massive truck would HAUL!!!!!! Funny thing is he was a driver for UPS...wonder what happened to that guy (Jimmy..you out there man...crazy SOB!!!!) Good luck with this man...looking forward for more updates.

And to Jran76. Yea i seen that kit after i bought this one, kicking myself in the ***. I had to watch the video on Zex site for the 350z like 5 times to see what parts and how they were setting it up, then i orderd what i was missing. Cant wait until May 7th. That will be the first drag race of the season and the first time i get to use the nitrous (besides dyno) |

that is the exact same kit i posted up, and onequickz take note i know you have a few extra little parts in your setup but who would pay a grand for a kit when you can buy a boxed version through any local resaler for only 850? that is why you have been campin on that thing since i joined this board.

Just make sure you are monitoring your ratios. I would not rely on the tune alone.
