Code P0430 - Aftermarket Exhaust

The car should be returned to stock cats by the dealership as I'm sure it's a violation of some sort of federal law to sell a non emissions compliant vehicle.

The car should be returned to stock cats by the dealership as I'm sure it's a violation of some sort of federal law to sell a non emissions compliant vehicle. That's boring, so what you should do is have the car tuned. Either ecutek or uprev will take care of it, and give you a better running car with a lot safer tune for those modifications. There are a couple of reputable tuners in TX, I think jtran is in Houston and comes highly recommended on this forum. Or you can have the car remote tuned by specially z, Sebastian did my car and it's turned out great. Ecutek also gets you some cool features like launch control!

Default P0430 Fix

I recently had that pop up. It was because one of the cats on bank 2 was getting clogged up due to age. I bought a can of Cataclean, followed the instructions exactly as listed and within 50 miles the light was gone. I will stress however, you must follow the instructions exactly. I tried to just dump a can in and it didn't work. You have to run your tank down to about 3 gallons left, then put in the additive and drive it till the low fuel light comes on. Then fill the tank all the way up and then shortly there after the cat will become clean and the light goes off.
