DashCommand set up Help!
I have recently installed Dashcommand running with a Kiwi 3 using Bluetooth and have been very pleased so far. The performance timers seem very very accurate to my actual quarter mile times.
However, I would like to see the following data displayed in gauges screens, but have yet figured out how to do that: 1. Ambient Temperature - no value displayed on factory skin either 2. Oil Temperature 3. Fuel Rail Pressure - no value displayed on factory skin either 4. Oil pressure Anyone here attempted to get these PIDs to display in Dashcommand? I am new to this tech stuff, so be very specific in your response please! Last edited by SG4247; 06-17-2017 at 05:19 PM. |

I use Torque, not DashCommand, but here is what I can contribute:
I bought an add-on to Torque for Nissans. That tells me that the signals I picked up in the expansion are not provided by the industry "standard" codes. 1) I don't have it either, I suspect it is not on the bus. 2) this was in the expansion for me 3) sorry, haven't looked into those, can't help 4) the 370z has an idiot sensor set to check (I believe) 31psi so it doesn't have an oil pressure gauge in terms of reading multiple values. Personally, I've asked Forged Performance for a quote on replacing the clock with an oil pressure gauge and of course the back end sensor installation and such. They haven't gotten back to me yet. Good luck |

Thanks for the reply! as this is more than anyone else has provided so far.
I have spent all day working on this PID set up, what I have learned so far is consistent with your reply. There is no Nissan expansion available for dashcommand, as near as I can tell. I have found a PID for oil temp, and have set it up, but havent checked to see if it actually works yet. Everything else is no dice so far.. Again thx for the info! |

DC already has a built in PID for ambient temperature. It's in one of their default gauges so you should be able to apply it to your own. Ditto oil temperature.
The ecu doesn't do fuel or oil pressure so there's nothing for DC to pick up on. Last edited by ChaseZ; 07-09-2017 at 07:23 PM. |

No ambient temp on mine...
Wonder if the 2010 ecu is different than yours? Oil temp is a nogo also. Working with Palmer to resolve the issue, but they only suppport customers via email...so they are slow. |

I remember heRing something about an ecu upgrade somewhere along the ways, but I'd thought it was just to do with capacity. I'm sort of guessing but was something like that. Perhaps there is more to it.
Did you check the Palmer forums? I always meant to spend some time there and figure things out and make some custom gauges but never got around to it. My understanding also is there's more flexibility and options to the PC software to do all the work then just upload it to the app. I'm also running Ecutek but can't can't see that making a difference to getting additional readings in any way. It can still only provide the information that is read. |

I'm in to hear about expansion as well. Also has anyone entered values for
Anything else you changed in OBD2 settings or elsewhere from what was supplied from DC? Thanks for any help you can lend.
