So after a long process of gathering up parts i have conclusive evidence the water pump was bad, so without further ado here is your so called indestructable water pump on our cars.....
All that white crusty stuff and some clear water you cant see is from the weep hole....somebody has taken this engine apart before and had sealed the outer weep hole so there was never going to be a trace of coolant leaking from the water pump....on top of that the primary timing chain was put on in a haphazard way so it was on correct timing, but the colored keys on the chain werent lined up with the timing marks on the crank and camshaft sprockets....needless to say all of this is in the process of being corrected Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

P.S.
There was actually more white chalky crap in there before, but my helper took some of it out before i got a picture Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Colored links on the chain are an aid for installation only and will not align with every revolution of the engine. The number of links on the chain is not divisible by the number of teeth on the sprocket.

According to fsm the keys on the sprockets and the colored links are supposed to match up with each other Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I got it now, sorry i had just woken up when i saw your reply, i get what you’re saying now....so basically after installation even though the keys line up they will eventually drift out of sync with those keys once the engine is running.....is that the gist of it? You're still installing new oil gallery gaskets right? Let us know how they look.

Suspect water pump

I inspected the gasket material all around the oil gallery covers and no leaks and no signs of the gaskets falling apart....im trying to convince my helper to replace them, but he doesnt want to mess with them if there’s nothing wrong with them. Interesting note though, when i dropped the lower oil pan there was a few little shavings of what looked to be aluminum, but other than that oil and upper oil case were clean Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
