Default P0603 "Generic Permanent"

Service Engine Soon" light lit up this morning. DTC reads "P0603 Generic Permanent". Has something to do with the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) memory. I can't clear it using the OBDII reader, presumably since it's "permanent". Anyone experienced this? Battery had been disconnected for a few hours yesterday. Car drove fine today … no hesitation, smooth idle … but I'm stuck with the SES light being on. Looking for possible fix. Thanks!

Possibly bad power to PCM. Remove one of the battery terminals (always a good idea when working on electrical stuff) and then check the wiring to the PCM. Check the FSM to see if a fuse may be involved. If you fixed it, PID should clear.

Started it up today and the SES light was gone. A quirk from disconnecting the battery yesterday, I guess.
