Oil Catch Can Question
Installing my dual catch cans today and noticed the intake tube has a hose after the MAF that is connected to the crankcase.
My question is: Does that intake tube hose also perform the same function of as the intake manifold hose in the middle? I.e. does it also vacuum the excess crankcase fumes and recirculate it? If so, why is there no catch can for it? (Curious about the hose in red. Blue hose is regular catch can setup.) Thanks. http://i.imgur.com/5xQMFCT.jpg |
The Intake manifold hose is how the crankcase gunk gets from the crankcase to the manifold, the red hose youre asking about is positive air to push that gunk up and out.

I like the mounting location of those cans... are they bolted down other locations than what I can see in the picture? Looks like each one only has one bolt on either side of the radiator support.

just cap off the intake. your lines in blue are correct. being that they're closed catch cans, are they baffled? are you gonna delete the pcv's or just leave them installed?
