Scheffler oils

So another 370z and I went to Dynosty and got tuned. I did an oil change in my car before going ( not saying what I used will be changed again soon ) but my friend did an oil change there and they said that Schefflers is the best they have eve used. They said they have done teardowns with people that have used it. Said it coated everything nice and slippery. So now that's all they sell oils wise.

My question has anyone used it and has anyone had tested? Might order some and see how I like it.

With the state of modern lubricants, I can't imagine it doing that much better than any of the brands recommended in other threads. It may (or may not) look better on paper, but, in the real world, not worth any extra money to me. YMMV

Visual inspection means little to nothing, UOA comparison is the only way to tell.

hard to beat redline.....that schefflers might be a repackaged other major oilbrand

How'd your tune go? You were here last Thursday and Friday weren't you?

I just called them today about spending some more of my hard-earned money there.

Not familiar with that oil, but it's pretty inexpensive compared to a lot of others (e.g. Amsoil).

EP370z,
Sorry I did not get back in touch with you before your trip here to Lousiville. I also look forward to hearing about your tune at Dynosty. I just got an EcuTek Tune as well from Hal at Dynosty (in mid-March).

Regarding the Schaeffer Oil....Dynosty also used the Schaeffer product when they installed my Oil Cooler. After a great deal of research and cost of buying/shipping online....I decided to go with Mobile 1...have have used it several years now with a fair amount of "track duty". I am sure it is good oil as they also have a presence in the commercial trucking industry...but not sure if it is worth the extra hassle.

I used it once, I have only used Schaffers and Nissan Ester. I noticed a little more engine noise but it seemed it was easier on the motor.

Still need to upload my videos I took and move my pictures to photobucket. Ended up making 331hp and 266 trq.
Mods
K&N intake
1320 test pipes
HKS exhaust
On a 2014 Nismo 34k miles

Good numbers. I'm scheduled for the 22nd through 24th. Getting Motordyne headers and HFCs added. Already have Borla exhaust, K&N Typhoon, lightweight flywheel and Z1 intake plenum. Hoping for 340-350 range.
Can't wait!

I run Schaeffer's 5w50 racing in my 370, 300tt, and stealth. they all love the stuff. Samples say I could run extended changes if I desired to do so. It's a top tier, true synthetic oil so you cant go wrong. As with all oils it's a pick your poison type of ordeal.

I'm running their straight 30 weight in my Z to combat the premature breakdown of ethanol and this stuff is doing FANTASTIC! I was running royal purple for the previous years and I wil never look back! Royal purple would start to see alcohol fatigue after 1000 miles.t I check the dip stick to finger test the viscosity of the Schaeffers and so far it remains just as "sticky" as the day I put it in with a little over 1k miles since startup. I will continue to monitor this oil to get an idea of its life span but I wouldn't be surprised if daily driven petrol fueled cars could run this oil well into the 6 & 7000 mile ranges
