Default Transmission shifting problem

My cars been having problems shifting and it's been getting worse.
Car running or not, it does not want to shift gears at a stop. Have noticed that with the clutch pedal pressed and in gear the car will drift in that direction like the clutch is not released.
When at speed the shifts are not bad but occasionally I hear an awful grinding noise and it doesn't want to shift.
Thoughts?

Might be your CSC has sprung a leak and is not giving full pressure on clutch. Or possibly the CMC has a broken seal. Ether way you should get it looked at before you get stuck some where.

Any work done recently? How many miles? How is the clutch pedal pressure? Normally, I would guess your master or slave is having issues, but those issues are usually accompanied by a soft clutch pedal and not grinding noises. Sounds more like your clutch is about done. If it's not the clutch plate or throwout bearing wearing out, it sounds like something may not adjusted properly - it could be anything from the clutch itself (assuming work was done recently) to something simple like the reverse lockout plate (did you change out your shift knob recently?).

I have had the same problem twice now with the Z1 CSC elimination kit. The first was just an adjustment issue with the shifter gates being out of position. The second was the external cylinder was damaged and leaked out most the the fluid and when moving the rev match and syncros allowed to shift 2-3 3-4 4-5 5-6. But it was extremely difficult to shift into 1st and R when stopped and the car would move along in 1st and R with the clutch fully depressed.

Recently had the transmission replaced. Had the z1 csc elimination kit on before but now back to the stock crappy csc. The shop said it was good to go. Transmission was making grinding noise when shifting. Refused to accept the work done. Mechanic then said the pressure plate was probably messed up (idk how) so that was replaced also. After that it drove fine but now is having issues (its been like 2 weeks). Clutch is about 1.5 years old maybe 12k miles on it.
I was also just now messing around to see wtf is up. So when in gear, clutch pedal fully pressed, rev engine to 3k, theres a loud *** gear grinding type sound til the rpms drop to <2.5k.
This is ****.

Ok work done recently ... the clutch is obviously not adjusted properly. And they should have replaced the clutch plate and pressure plate at the same time only the flywheel is reusable (if still in ok shape). Take it back to the shop and make them fix it. Sounds like you did that already? If so you might have to take to a different shop that is actually competent.

And let me get this straight ... you had the Z1 CSCEK and then replaced the clutch and went back to a stock CSC?

The shop was incompetent. They refused to install the elimination kit saying they would void the warranty. I'm pretty sure they just didn't know how to install it. I argued with them saying I didn't care about the warranty the csek IS a warranty. Still refused. Clutch is definitely screwy. So mad. Don't want to take it back there either
